Happy Monday everyone! Why does the weekend always fly by?! Even though it was a short weekend, I'm pretty sure i just had the best trip of my life. Two weeks ago I decided to join two good friends, who ive known for over 10 years, on a trip to San Francisco, California. Even though they had planned their trip earlier, I was unsure about going until i was in London and decided to book my flight to San Fran( I have only been to California once and I was 17 years old. I was only in Los Angeles for a day because I did a cross country road trip). So you can pretty much know how I excited I was about exploring northern California. Everything for the trip came together quickly and before I knew it, I was on a flight to the west coast. Here's the recap of this short adventure!

Friday

Who goes to California for the weekend? Me! I left early friday morning and arrived in San Fran around 10am. My friends arrived at the same time as my flight did. I haven't seen them in a while because we all have our own crazy lives but it was so great hanging with them and reconnecting. We spent our whole Friday exploring all of the main points of interest of San Fran such as Lombard Street, Fishermans Wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, and driving the crazy hills of this city. By 8pm we were exhausted due to the small time difference and early flights but we decided to go out and enjoy Cinco De Mayo. We headed into Berkeley and ate at a Mexican place where we ate good food and Mexican beer. Our first day was a success.

Saturday

We woke up early and grabbed coffee at probably the most amazing downtown in Berkeley. We decided that we were going to do the 17 Mile Drive. It's a scenic drive along the coast of the Monterrey Peninsula. It starts in Pacific grove and ends at Pebble beach. It was such a beautiful and peaceful drive with tons of pictures taken. After the drive, we headed into one of my favorite small towns I have ever been too, Carmel. It's a small town by the sea with beautiful houses and shops. We hung out on the beach for a little and than decided to have dinner at the most expensive restaurant haha but so worth it.

We headed back into San Francisco and drove around for a while just taking in the breath of this city. We ended up at a classy bar by the Marina District. We were exhausted and were about to call it a night when we spotted a Karaoke bar that looked wild. We ended up staying there till close where we meet some funny people. We somehow ended in Ireland which was probably the highlight of the night (cant go into detail there haha). We finally crawled into bed at 4am.

Sunday

The morning consisted of sleeping and getting my stuff ready for my flight later on at night. We drove to Napa Valley. Who doesn't have wine tasting in Napa on their bucket list? Haha. We had some of the best wine I have ever had at the Robert Mondavi Winery which is apparently the most known winery in Napa. Luckily through my friends work connections, we didn't have to pay anything! (Wine tasting in Napa isn't as cheap as the east coast. Tastings started at $30). We hung around talking about life and taking more pictures.

We drove to Sonoma and Sausalito before heading back into to San Francisco. A walk along the wharf, a caramel apple, and a ride back to the airport. It may have been a short trip, but it has to be the most memorable and favorite one yet!

It doesn't matter where your adventure is, it only matters who you are with. This trip wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for Aileen and Brittany. 99% of the time was spent laughing at the silliest things.

As for my next adventure, I am 17 days away before I hop on my next flight. Curious to where I am going? Stay tune and don't forget to subscribe to my page :)
